Greenwich Village

Known to New Yorkers as "The Village," this area north of Soho and Tribecca has been home to many famous writers and artists. The Village is home to Washington Square featuring a stone arch dedicated to George Washington.

East Village

This area of New York City has gone from the height of High Society during the 19th century to the low rent, artist and immigrant community it is today. Little India and Little Ukraine are located here and offer some of the least expensive ethnic food in the city.

Lower East Side

The Lower East Side is where many immigrants first settled. These immigrants then created distinct areas perserving their culture. No visit to New York is complete without visiting Little Italy, and Chinatown found here.
